The summit had 20 000 youth participants and it was held between March 1 to March 7. The summit provided a platform for 2 000 selected youths out of 20 000 applicants to participate in a more engaging regional program.

"In a recent trip to Russia, I had the opportunity to witness firsthand the cutting-edge technologies powering various sectors of their economy, particularly in healthcare, agriculture and nuclear power" said Havnar

Tyrone Havnar engaged with Russian experts and policy makers. He expressed his concern about the technological gap between developing and developed countries. He emphasized the importance of knowledge exchange and capacity building , particularly for the youth in Zimbabwe.

"From my trip to Russia and participation in the Summit at the Sirius Federal Territory, I learned the importance of international cooperation and dialogue among youth. The Summit provided a unique opportunity to interact with peers from different cultures , exchange perspectives on global issues and work collaboratively towards solutions. Additionally being part of the BRICS ( Brazil , Russia , India , China , South Africa) discussion during the regional program from 9 to 15 March 2024 offered insights into the significance of multilateral partnership in addressing shared challenges and promoting sustainable development " said Havnar

By being part of BRICS , Zimbabwe can leverage diplomatic avenues to address internal challenges and work towards a more stable political environment. Zimbabwe's youth are eager to contribute to the economic revival of our nation. BRICS, with its emphasis on economic cooperation and development , provides a platform for Zimbabwe to harness its youthful energy and potential.
